Plague is thin yellowish layer formed on teeth which is hub of bacteria .Tooth decay and gum disease can develop when plaque is allowed to build up on teeth and along the gum line .if this plague is not cleaned at this stage it get mineralized to form a hard yellowish brown layer which is called calculus.

Cleaning between teeth removes plaque from that areas where a toothbrush can’t reach. while antimicrobial mouthwash can kill the bacteria that form plaque, it can’t remove the stubborn tartar and bits of food that can lodge in these places .
 

How to floss?

To take full advantage of the benefits of flossing, you need to first learn the correct way to floss.Use a piece of floss 15 to 18 inches long, slide it between the teeth, wrap it around each tooth in the shape of a “C,” and polish with an up and down motion. Don’t worry if it’s bleeding a little. It bleeds if your gums are inflamed, so don’t stop yourself if you see a spot of blood. if you lack hand dexterity you can use a floss holder.

So Brushing teeth twice a day, cleaning the tongue properly, flossing at least once in a day, and washing of mouth whenever necessary are a few methods that will help us to keep our mouth clean and healthy.Research says if a person regularly brushes and flosses his teeth, he is more unlikely to get a dental problem, so flossing in a way saves your money too.
